Printmaking classes are designed for Introductory or Intermediate level printmaking. Individuals who appreciate “process” or “step-by-step” construction and design, will often have a natural ability in learning to be a printmaker.

The goal of each set of classes is to acquire an appreciation of the traditions and techniques unique to woodblock, or collagraph, or mono printing, or, rust prints and mixed media. The artists also learn something about types of print editions, numbering and titling, or special papers for different techniques. Another important goal is to offer insights into building your own printmaking equipment for a home studio.

Students should expect to produce at least one small print and one medium-large print with each technique. Some techniques allow for small editions to be printed, but requires that students must provide their own paper for editions.

Each class is limited to six students on a first-come, first registered basis. Each technique has a fee of $135 per student. A refundable deposit of $35 is required to hold a person’s place in a future set of classes. The balance of fee is required the first evening of classes in each technique and students must give notice of cancellation at least five days prior to the start of classes.
