Original Prints

The Hainstock Studio embraces all forms of traditional printmaking but focuses mainly on the techniques of collagraph, woodblock or mono printing. These techniques not only lend a special character to the wide variety of landscape subjects, but also meet the practical needs of a remote printmaking studio This emphasis on woodblock, collagraph and mono prints is also extended to annual workshops hosted at the studio or nearby Acadia University Gallery. Paper making has also been an important element in the studio's printmaking, allowing local materials like Fundy seaweed, hemp, or garden materials to find their way into studio experimentation.
