Paintings from the Hainstock Studio have often echoed the lines and ideas of the New Landscapes series, including the persistent aerial perspective, or series of East-West ridges and minor valleys within the larger Annapolis Valley. The paintings have also attempted to recognize the spiritual place of landscape, including the presence of human-like families of trees or declining congregations. Paintings are mainly grouped in two parts: the Time & Place landscapes; and the Mask & Disguise series of 16 pieces that referred to the inability of the public to know the true nature of our distant and other-wordly celebrities, politicians or corporate leaders.,
